Quick facts
- Must have

- Good to have
- Light shawl, power bank, water bottle
- Leave in the room
- Valuables and large bags
You do not need much for a temple trip, but the few things you do need make a real difference at 3 AM or in a long queue. Here is the list we give our own guests.
Paperwork
- One government photo ID per adult, original and a photocopy.
- Printed or saved copies of any registration or pass.
- Your tickets and the address of where you are staying.
What to wear
- Loose, modest clothes that cover shoulders and knees.
- A light shawl or stole, useful in cool mornings and inside temples.
- Traditional attire if you plan to attend the Bhasma Aarti.
On your feet
Shoes come off at almost every temple, so slip-ons are best. Socks help on hot stone floors in summer. Choose footwear that you will not mind leaving outside.
Small things that help
- A refillable water bottle and any regular medicines.
- A power bank for long days.
- Cash and UPI. Many autos and small shops prefer one or the other.
- A small pouch to carry essentials, since large bags are often restricted near the sanctum.
With children or elders
Pack snacks, a light blanket and any support aids. Tell us if someone needs an easy-access room when you enquire.
Leave at the room
Valuables, heavy jewellery and big bags. If you stay with us, we can keep your luggage safe while you are at darshan.
